Potato pancakes (Placki ziemniaczane )

Potatoe-Pancakes-0

Ingrediens:

medium potatoes  (peeled, grated/shredded, and drained of excess water)
about a cup of flour to thicken & bind
1 egg (can be beaten)
salt and pepper to taste

Topping/Dip of your choice: apple sauce, jam, sour cream, honey, sugar etc..

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together. Heat oil in pan. Cook until crispy on one side and flip. About 3-6 mins each side (until it has crispy golden color)
Serve hot.
Tips:

Smaller pancakes are easier and faster to cook.

    My babcia made these every holiday, but mostly on Christmas Eve. We alway sprinkle the finished pancakes with some sugar before eating. Always a hit

    Try adding some grated or finely chopped onion in the batter. YUM!
